1. Twitter Adds Up To 4 Photos Per Tweet Plus Tags

Twitter is changing its strategy regarding music after it’s #Music App was pulled. While you will have to keep an eye out for it, the most immediate change is being able to add up to 4 photos per tweet. You can also tag up to 10 people without effecting your character limit. If you’re in marketing, it’s useful to know these changes.

2. Alternative Money Making Approaches For Musicians Failing To Sell Records

Music piracy eats into profits. By thinking outside of the box and being creative, you can think of different ways to pay the bills to keep playing music. Music Think Tank has a list of four things you can do to get the ball rolling.

3.How An Indie Band Got A Grant To Fund Their Latest Music Video

A Maine band received $1.5K from a grant from the Maine Arts Commission to make a music video. DIY Musician interviews him in which he explains how he did it. It might be worth it to look up grants for the arts if your band’s project can fit their criteria!

4. Contracts And Agreements 101

If the thought of drafting a contract wakes you up in the middle of the night screaming, you are not alone.
